Abstract

This work contributes to theater theory, particularly in the study of gay theater, as an artistic, cultural, political, and critical expression mediated by theatrical performances featuring members of the LGBTQ+ community. In Cali, Colombia, efforts have focused on empowering and making visible this community, which for many years remained anonymous and marginalized. The overall objective is to analyze gay theater production in Cali, Colombia, by various theater groups and companies, and to recognize the theatrical contributions that have focused on productions with gay content in the city, highlighting and highlighting the work of the Satiricón group as a specific example.
