Abstract

I intend to reflect on the construction of the character of Juliette in The Escapist (2014) by Federico Polleri, born in Mar del Plata in 1982. The play, directed by Gabriela Biedma in 2024, originated in the Integrated Theatre Practice III course of the Theatre Teacher Training and Degree Program (FA, UNICEN), where a group of students is tasked with directing and producing a complete performance. My analysis will focus on my participation as an actress in the character's development process from its premiere onward, observing it from a feminist perspective.
