Objective, Thematic Coverage, and Target Audience

"El Peldaño - Cuaderno de Teatrología" is an open-access journal managed by faculty members of the Theater Department at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of the Center of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is an academic publication with the aim of disseminating reflections on the theory and practice of theater.

Publisher: UNICEN.

Frequency: Biannual publication. Two issues per year: January and July (January-June/July-December).

Focus and Scope

El Peldaño is an academic publication aimed at artists, researchers, teachers, art students, students in related disciplines, and the general public.

We welcome academic articles, essays, reviews, personal experiences, interviews, and reflections on the theory and practice of theater.

The call for submissions is open to all individuals involved in the performing arts and the wider artistic community.

The journal has been included in the Malena database (CONICET), which compiles Argentine scientific publications and is based on quality criteria according to the Latindex Catalog 2.0 methodology, as well as in DOAJ and the LatinRev Directory. It has signed its Quality Assessment commitment in DORA and continues its efforts to strengthen its visibility, editorial quality, and impact.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps foster a greater global exchange of knowledge, while respecting international ethical standards.
