The present work intends to analyze two documentary films about revolutionary memory in Argentina: Juan, como si nada hubiera sucedido (1987) by Carlos Echeverría and M (2007) by Nicolás Prividera. Although these two films share a narrative program that gives rise to investigations presented with similar features, the context in which the films were made gives rise to testimonies that present diferent types of memory that come into play, and that are made evident through the obstacles encountered by the protagonists. Starting from the investigation of the memory configurations built since the end of the last military dictatorship and during most of the democratic experience in Argentina, we elaborate a history of the continuities and transformations in the evocation of revolutionary struggle. Throughout the selected period, the two films function as sort of triggers of memory works, which break with what is established but also present innovative reflections that also account for particular and novedous audio-visual resources.Downloads
