In turn, it intends to unravel the process in which the body of local artists was formed, its training environment and results: styles, themes and achievements. It ofers a retrospect of artists, from those who pioneered the plastic art activity in the city to those who participated in the formation of local art institutions.
Alongside these artists, a visual art tradition was also born,  defined by the landscape and the first local style specifications, showing marked nuances in their results: social, expressionist, impressionist and a more classic kind of art. These artists ofered a link with the world of the national arts, participating in exhibitions and salons, either regionally or in Buenos Aires neighborhoods.
