Vampirism and sexuality have always been closely related in terms of monstrosity and taboo, especially in how female vampires are characterised. This text explores how this relationship is portrayed in the films Blood of the Virgins (1967) by Emilio Vieyra and Alucarda (1977) by Juan López Moctezuma.
