This article aims to think about the question of crossing the borders of artistic and media disciplines, based on the analysis of the intermediality strategies undertaken in Mariano Pensotti's stage projects. His artistic works address a unique investigation into the relationships between theater and cinema, expanding disciplinary limits and nourishing the scene with new procedures, as well as incorporating other supports, discourses and problems. At the same time, the interactions between the scene and the cinema produce a questioning of the established systems of representation, whose forms of materialization are set against each other. All of this allows us to postulate alternative forms of display and narration unmarked by disciplinary contours and located in their interstices. From this indeterminate condition, the works build scenic devices that amplify the ways of narrating and imagining.
