Abstract

The subject's acceptance of his ability to operate facing the gaze of others is the condition of possibility of Performing. This could not be achieved if the formation of some kind of identity did not mediate, either through formal education or at least, through the practice of the profession between pairs. The proposed work aims to highlight the features of this identity, which makes subjects able to position themselves in the situation of action (a time-space context in which a subject operates before the eyes of another), and that is the condition to be achieved by everyone who aspires to be an actor. We will describe this identity, which we propose to name I Actor, as a narrative identity shared by all actors in a given society. We will discuss the way in which said feature is shaped by a narration that gives actors an image of themselves, from a repertoire of behaviors and qualities, not free of stereotypes. Through this narration, the actor is able to identify with his peers, which in turn allow him to play his condition before the viewer.
